My first professionally published work was a first-person narrative of my solo Caribbean sea kayak trip that was featured in the pages of Sea Kayaker magazine in 1990. I have since contributed many articles to that publication, ranging from trip reports and gear reviews, to coverage of Gulf Coast regional events impacting recreational sea kayaking, including the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the BP Oil Spill of 2010.
